Understand margin before running a promotion
Enter all amounts in the same currency, excluding tax. The tool subtracts the discount from the selling price, calculates the percentage payment fee on that revenue, then subtracts the fixed fee, product cost and shipping cost. Margin is contribution divided by discounted revenue.
What this tool does not do
This is a planning calculation, not net accounting profit. It excludes advertising, returns, packaging unless included in costs, overhead, taxes, currency conversion and fees on shipping or tax. Use your own gateway fee schedule. Negative results mean this order loses money under the inputs provided.
