Enter the original price and discount percentage to see the sale price and saving. Add a second discount to see the true combined discount, and add sales tax to get the final amount you pay. Find the final price after a discount, see how much you save, and combine two discounts correctly.

What does this tool do?

Finds the sale price from the original price and discount percentage — and works backwards too: given sale and original prices, it reveals the true discount. Handles stacked discounts the way shops actually apply them.

Because the math runs locally, the Discount Calculator works offline after the page loads and never queues behind a server — handy during load-shedding or on slow mobile data. There is nothing to install and no account to create; the page is the whole application, ready in the time it takes to open a tab.

Using it is simple: the inputs are “Original price”, “Discount (%)”, “Extra discount (%)”, “Sales tax (%)” and “Currency symbol (optional)”. Results update live as you work — there is no waiting and nothing to submit.

How do I use this tool?

Enter your figures below — every result updates the instant you type, so comparing scenarios is just a matter of changing a number and watching the answer move.

  1. Enter your values in “Original price”, “Discount (%)”, “Extra discount (%)” and the other fields.
  2. Results update instantly as you type — no button to press.

How does it work?

Sale price = original × (1 − discount/100). Stacked discounts multiply: 20% then 10% = 0.8 × 0.9 = 28% off total, not 30%. Reverse: discount % = (1 − sale/original) × 100.

The formula used is the standard one taught and published for this calculation — the tool does not invent methods. Where conventions differ (rounding, day-count, tax treatment), the page follows the common Pakistani practice and says so, so the result matches what local institutions expect.

Use cases in Pakistan

Sale season in Pakistan — from Daraz 11.11 to lawn-brand end-of-season sales — is full of “up to 50% off” claims. This tool checks the real discount from the ticketed and sale prices, and computes stacked “additional 10% off” offers correctly. Shoppers also use it in reverse: knowing the budget, find what discount makes an item affordable.

Families use it for household budgeting and school-fee planning; small businesses for pricing and payroll math; students for everything from BISE numericals to CSS preparation. Wherever the same calculation is repeated monthly — bills, salaries, savings targets — this page replaces the phone-calculator ritual.

Limitations

It computes the discount arithmetic, not the deal’s honesty — inflated “original” prices are the classic trick, and no calculator detects that. GST treatment varies: confirm whether the discount applies before or after tax on the receipt.

Assumptions are stated on the page — read them before trusting the headline number for money, health or legal decisions. A calculator amplifies the quality of its inputs: careful numbers in, trustworthy numbers out.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate a 20% discount?

Multiply the price by 0.8. On Rs 1,000, that is Rs 800 — you save Rs 200. For figures that go into applications or documents, double-check the inputs against the source — the math is exact, but only for the numbers you enter.

Do stacked discounts add up?

No — they multiply. 20% off then 10% off is 28% total, not 30%. Shops apply them sequentially, and so does this tool. Try varying one input at a time to see which assumption drives the result; that sensitivity check is often more valuable than the headline number.

How do I find the original price from the sale price?

Divide the sale price by (1 − discount/100). A Rs 800 item at 20% off was Rs 1,000 originally. Save or screenshot the result with its inputs when the figure matters later — reconstructing “what did I enter?” is harder than it sounds.

Why does the bill differ from my calculation?

GST may be added after the discount, or the discount applied to a different base. Check the receipt lines. For figures that go into applications or documents, double-check the inputs against the source — the math is exact, but only for the numbers you enter.

Is my data uploaded or stored?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — what you type or paste never leaves your device, is never sent to a server, and is never stored. Closing the tab removes all trace. Try varying one input at a time to see which assumption drives the result; that sensitivity check is often more valuable than the headline number.

Is it really free? Do I need an account?

Yes, free, and no account needed. Open the page and use it — no sign-up, no trial, no watermark on results. Save or screenshot the result with its inputs when the figure matters later — reconstructing “what did I enter?” is harder than it sounds.
