A Pakistani IBAN has 24 characters: PK, two check digits, a four-letter bank code and a 16-digit account number padded with leading zeros. The check digits are calculated with the ISO 13616 MOD-97 rule, which this tool computes and verifies.
How to generate your IBAN
- Choose your bank.
- Enter your account number exactly as on your cheque book (without branch code if it is shown separately).
- Copy the IBAN, and confirm it once with your bank statement or app.
Always confirm with your bank
Some banks include the branch code inside the 16-digit account part, so the account number printed on old cheque books may not be enough. Your IBAN is also shown in your banking app, on e-statements and on new cheque books. Use this tool to check that an IBAN is correctly formed before sending money.
IBAN structure
PK36 SCBL 0000001123456702: country code, check digits, bank code, account number. The checker catches typing mistakes such as swapped or missing digits.
Frequently asked questions
Can a valid IBAN still be wrong?
Yes. The checker confirms the format and check digits, not that the account exists or belongs to the person you expect.
