A CNIC has 13 digits written as 12345-1234567-1. The first digit indicates the province or region where it was issued, the first five digits identify the area, and the final digit is odd for men and even for women. This tool decodes those parts; it does not look up any personal records.
How to check a CNIC number
- Type or paste the 13-digit CNIC (with or without dashes).
- See the formatted number, region and gender digit.
What this tool cannot do
It does not verify that a CNIC is genuine or belongs to a particular person. For official verification use NADRA’s services or SMS the CNIC number to 8300. For SIMs registered on your CNIC, SMS your CNIC to 668.
