Enter any pay amount and period. Using your hours per day, days per week and paid weeks per year, the calculator shows the equivalent hourly, daily, weekly, biweekly, monthly and annual pay. Convert an hourly wage to a yearly salary, or a monthly salary to an hourly rate.

What does this tool do?

Translates pay between hourly, daily, weekly and monthly/yearly figures: enter any pay amount and period plus your hours, and see the equivalent salary in every other period instantly. An optional currency symbol (Rs, $, £) labels the results.

It is designed for repeated use: change any input and every dependent figure recalculates immediately, so comparing scenarios — a higher rate versus a shorter tenure, this month versus last — takes seconds rather than a fresh spreadsheet. The layout keeps the headline result prominent while the working stays visible for anyone who wants to check the math.

Using it is simple: the inputs are “Pay amount”, “Per”, “Hours per day”, “Days per week”, “Paid weeks per year” and “Currency symbol (optional)”; the “per” control offers “Hour”, “Day”, “Week”, “Two weeks”, “Month” and “Year”. Results update live as you work — there is no waiting and nothing to submit.

How do I use this tool?

Enter your figures below — every result updates the instant you type, so comparing scenarios is just a matter of changing a number and watching the answer move.

  1. Enter your values in “Pay amount”, “Per”, “Hours per day” and the other fields.
  2. Results update instantly as you type — no button to press.

How does it work?

All figures derive from annual pay: annual = amount × periods-per-year (hourly uses hours/day × days/week × paid weeks), then each period divides the annual figure back down. Unpaid leave reduces “paid weeks per year” below 52 — the single input most people forget.

The formula used is the standard one taught and published for this calculation — the tool does not invent methods. Where conventions differ (rounding, day-count, tax treatment), the page follows the common Pakistani practice and says so, so the result matches what local institutions expect.

Use cases in Pakistan

Pakistani freelancers convert a $20/hour Upwork rate to monthly PKR to compare with local job offers; teachers compare per-lecture pay against monthly salaries; and factory or domestic workers translate daily wages (“dihari”) into monthly income for budgeting. It also settles “is Rs 150,000/month better than Rs 900/hour?” debates with arithmetic.

Families use it for household budgeting and school-fee planning; small businesses for pricing and payroll math; students for everything from BISE numericals to CSS preparation. Wherever the same calculation is repeated monthly — bills, salaries, savings targets — this page replaces the phone-calculator ritual.

Limitations

Gross pay only — it does not deduct income tax, EOBI or pension contributions; use the salary tax calculator for take-home. Overtime, bonuses and unpaid leave beyond the weeks setting are not modelled. Exchange-rate conversion for foreign-currency pay uses whatever rate you check separately.

Assumptions are stated on the page — read them before trusting the headline number for money, health or legal decisions. A calculator amplifies the quality of its inputs: careful numbers in, trustworthy numbers out.

Frequently asked questions

How do I convert hourly to monthly salary?

Multiply hourly rate × hours/day × days/week × 52 ÷ 12. At Rs 500/hour, 8h × 6 days: about Rs 104,000/month. For figures that go into applications or documents, double-check the inputs against the source — the math is exact, but only for the numbers you enter.

What are “paid weeks per year”?

52 minus unpaid leave. A teacher with 2 months unpaid summer has ~44 paid weeks — entering 52 would overstate annual pay. Try varying one input at a time to see which assumption drives the result; that sensitivity check is often more valuable than the headline number.

Does it calculate take-home pay?

No — this is gross pay. Deduct income tax (see the Pakistan salary tax calculator) and any pension/EOBI for take-home. Save or screenshot the result with its inputs when the figure matters later — reconstructing “what did I enter?” is harder than it sounds.

Daily wage to monthly?

Enter the daily amount, set “Per” to Day and days/week to 6 (or 5): the monthly equivalent appears instantly. For figures that go into applications or documents, double-check the inputs against the source — the math is exact, but only for the numbers you enter.

Is my data uploaded or stored?

No. This tool runs entirely in your browser — what you type or paste never leaves your device, is never sent to a server, and is never stored. Closing the tab removes all trace. Try varying one input at a time to see which assumption drives the result; that sensitivity check is often more valuable than the headline number.

Is it really free? Do I need an account?

Yes, free, and no account needed. Open the page and use it — no sign-up, no trial, no watermark on results. Save or screenshot the result with its inputs when the figure matters later — reconstructing “what did I enter?” is harder than it sounds.
