Each component’s percentage (marks ÷ total) is multiplied by its weight and the results are added: aggregate = Σ (obtained ÷ total × weight). Edit the components and weights to match your university’s current admission formula.
How to calculate your aggregate
- Enter marks and totals for Matric, Intermediate and the entry test.
- Set the weight of each component from your university’s admission policy.
- Read the aggregate percentage and the points each part contributes.
Check the official weightage
Weightages differ between universities and change from year to year (for example, how much the entry test counts versus Intermediate marks, and whether Matric is included). Always copy the exact percentages from the current admission advertisement or prospectus. Hafiz-e-Quran and other bonus marks are usually added to obtained marks as the policy specifies.
Worked example
Matric 1,000/1,100 at 10%, Inter 980/1,100 at 40% and test 150/200 at 50%: 9.09 + 35.64 + 37.5 = 82.23% aggregate.
