Add each course with its letter grade (or percentage marks) and credit hours to get your grade point average on a 4.0 scale. Supports the Pakistan HEC scale and the common US scale, and can combine with your previous CGPA.
How to calculate GPA
- Choose your university’s grading scale.
- For each course select the grade, or type the marks percentage, and enter the credit hours.
- Read your GPA. Open “Also calculate new CGPA” to include previous semesters.
GPA formula
GPA = sum of (grade points × credit hours) ÷ total credit hours. A 3-credit A (4.0) and a 2-credit B (3.0) give (12 + 6) ÷ 5 = 3.60.

Frequently asked questions
What is a good GPA?
Many employers and scholarships look for 3.0 or above; competitive programmes often expect 3.5+.
Do failed courses count?
Yes. An F counts as 0 points with its credit hours, which lowers the GPA until the course is repeated (depending on your university’s rules).
