Place a circular frame over your photo and download a PNG where everything outside the circle is transparent. It is ideal for profile pictures, team pages, avatars and round logos.
How to crop an image into a circle
- Choose or drop a photo.
- Drag and resize the circle so it frames the face or object.
- Press Download PNG. The corners are transparent.
Why PNG?
Only PNG and WebP support transparency. A JPG would fill the corners with white or black. If a site needs JPG, convert afterwards with the PNG to JPG converter and pick a background colour that matches the page.
Profile picture sizes
Most platforms display profile pictures as circles but expect a square upload. A 400–800 px circle is plenty for WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Facebook, X and Google accounts.
Frequently asked questions
Will the circle be perfectly round?
Yes. The crop is locked to a 1:1 ratio and clipped with a true circle.
Can I add a border?
Not yet. Most platforms add their own circular border, so a plain transparent edge usually looks best.
