The tool searches for the highest JPG quality that keeps your image at or under 100 KB (1 KB = 1,024 bytes), and reduces the dimensions in small steps only if quality alone is not enough. Your file is processed on your device and never uploaded.

When you need a 100 KB image
100 KB is typical for scanned documents such as CNIC/ID cards, degree certificates, domicile and character certificates, and for profile pictures on websites and HR systems.
Tips for a sharp result at 100 KB
Scan documents at 150–200 DPI rather than 600 DPI; text stays readable and the file reaches 100 KB without blur. You can also crop away empty background with the crop tool before compressing.

Frequently asked questions
Will my image be exactly 100 KB?
It will be at or just below 100 KB, usually within a few KB. Staying slightly under prevents portals from rejecting it.
Can I compress a PNG or screenshot?
Yes. It is converted to JPG (or WebP if you choose), with transparent areas filled with the background colour.
Is it safe for ID documents?
Yes. The compression happens in your browser; the file is never sent to a server.
Why does the form still say my file is too large?
Some portals count 1 KB as 1,000 bytes. Set the target a few KB lower, for example 97 KB, and try again.
