HEX, RGB and HSL
HEX (#175AD5) is the standard for websites and design tools. RGB lists red, green and blue values from 0 to 255. HSL describes hue, saturation and lightness and is easier to adjust by hand. Convert between them with the colour picker.
Frequently asked questions
How accurate are the colours?
The picker reads the exact pixel value from the full-resolution image. JPG compression can make neighbouring pixels slightly different, so pick from the centre of a flat area.
Can I pick colours from a website?
