The Qibla bearing is the great-circle direction from your location to the Kaaba in Makkah (21.4225° N, 39.8262° E). From Pakistan it points roughly west, slightly south (about 255°–265°). On phones the arrow can follow your compass.
How to find the Qibla
- Choose your city or press Use my location.
- Read the bearing in degrees from true north.
- On a phone, press Use phone compass and turn until the arrow points up.
Using a compass
A magnetic compass points to magnetic north, which in Pakistan is within about 2° of true north, so the bearing shown is accurate enough for prayer. Keep phones away from metal and magnets, and calibrate the compass by moving the phone in a figure-of-eight.
