Open a PDF, preview its pages and split it into single pages, custom ranges such as 1-3, 4, 5-8, or equal groups of N pages. Multiple results download together as a ZIP.
How to split a PDF
- Choose the PDF. Page thumbnails appear.
- Pick Every page, Custom ranges (for example 1-3, 4, 5-8) or Every N pages.
- Press Split PDF. One file downloads directly; several come in a ZIP.
Writing page ranges
Separate ranges with commas. 1-3 means pages 1 to 3, 5 is a single page, and 7- means page 7 to the end. Each range becomes its own PDF, so 1-3, 4-6 creates two files.
Split or extract?
Splitting creates several files. If you only want some pages in one new file, use Extract PDF pages; to drop a few pages and keep the rest, use Remove PDF pages.
Frequently asked questions
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied exactly; nothing is re-rendered.
Can I split a large PDF?
Yes. Documents with hundreds of pages work; thumbnails are drawn smaller to keep it fast.
Are my PDF files safe?
Yes. The PDF is read and written by JavaScript libraries (pdf-lib and Mozilla pdf.js) inside your browser. The file is never uploaded, so confidential contracts, bank statements and ID scans stay on your device.
